The other councilor, Lluís Minoves, has become an independent councilor, and fifteen of the twenty members of the list have expressed their opposition to "any integration with other parties" and reaffirmed "the independent, cross-party, and strictly local character of this party," which entered the City Council in 2023 with two representatives.

The latest to do so will be Judit Vinyes, councilor and spokesperson for Berga Grup Independent (BeGI), which debuted in the last elections with two representatives, becoming the fourth largest party, ahead of ERC with 13.40% of the vote. According to information obtained by ARA, at a party assembly held Wednesday night that lasted three hours, Vinyes announced her decision to join the Islamophobic party, but made it clear that she wants to continue leading BeGI because she was the one who launched it. Amidst great tension, the other councilor from the party, Lluís Minoves, who had recently maintained that the party would remain true to its political independence and focused solely on Berga, has decided to become an independent councilor. The leader of this Bergued-based party, which began as a group of voters and became a political party a year ago, wants BeGI to sign a collaboration agreement with the far-right party similar to the one signed with the councilors of Bellpuig Il·lusiona (PUSA), but not all members are in favor of this. However, some members of the candidacy will follow, such as Marina Clusellas, who was number 5, and Sílvia Fresneda, number 10. In Berguedà, Aliança has experienced significant growth since entering Parliament and now has around fifty members.

"I have three options; all of them terrible. The first is to take the early morning bus, the 5:30 a.m. one, which runs along the old road. But it makes more than 10 stops, enters the towns, and the journey is extremely long: a long two and a half hours if everything goes well to get to work. It feels like an eternity," she explains. "Then there's another option, at 6:30 a.m., but I always rule this one out because it's only available during school hours, for students. It goes through Bellaterra and means more hours of travel, so I wouldn't make it on time," she continues. "So I usually take the 6:45 a.m. bus from Andorra, which is semi-direct, but it drops me off at 9:15 a.m., if all goes well and it's not full or delayed, at Bonanova, which means I'm late for work," explains this local resident, who works in the sector, who works in the sector, who works in the sector, who works in the sector, who works in the sector, "working from the bus with my laptop" despite being somewhat late. "If I have meetings, I don't take any chances and I go down by car, although I would prefer to go by public transport," she explains.

The warning for strong gusts turned the queen stage of the Vuelta a Catalunya into a rather uninteresting day, with a flurry of negotiations between the organizers and the cyclists over what to do. In the end, there was no ascent to the Pradell pass or the final climb to the Queralt sanctuary. Only one 73-kilometer stage was completed, although 48 kilometers were neutralized without bonuses, and time was stopped 5 kilometers from the finish. American Quinn Simmons (Lidl Trek) emerged victorious in this chaotic stage. It should have been the day to see Juan Ayuso (UAE) and Primož Roglič (Red Bull) battle it out for the title on the slopes of Queralt, but the fans had to settle for a few final kilometers in Berga.

Whether in the morning, when amateur cyclists were returning from pedaling and having a hearty breakfast, or in conversations that stretched into the early hours. They all talked about the Cannibal. Surely the greatest cyclist of all time, Eddy Merckx. The Belgian, five-time Tour de France winner, five-time Giro d'Italia winner, and three-time world champion. A collector of trophies and medals who never had enough. His name continued to be mentioned in the bars of Berguedà, where cycling is a hot topic. But more than a few people thought the veterans were exaggerating: had the best cyclist in the world really ridden there?

As the name suggests, this establishment, founded in 1925, offers a wide variety of artisan basketry products, from chairs and stools to baskets of all kinds, trunks and a host of decorative objects. Dozens of items displayed on all the shelves and corners of the store, made by hand, without plastics or synthetic materials, only with frameworks of canes, wicker, palm heart or other plant fibers, which give off a very characteristic smell reminiscent of the houses of yesteryear. Currently, the store is run by the couple formed by Lluís Plans and Marisa Coll, the third generation at the head of a business that in 2025 will reach the round figure of one hundred years.
