The incident occurred on September 16, and the woman was arrested in Barcelona on the 30th of the same month following a European arrest warrant. According to a statement released by the Paris prosecutor's office on the social media platform X, they became aware of the theft when a museum cleaner found debris. One of the curators then "noticed the disappearance of gold straws usually on display," valued at €1.5 million by the museum itself.

I write this sentence with care, the subject of which is "the city of Barcelona." The urban planning document has been made public, allowing for a detailed analysis of what Barcelona City Council proposes regarding the ever-more controversial assumptions of urban planning law: the community's participation in capital gains generated by urban development and the principle of the social function of the right to property.

Species that live in remote corners of the planet, that escape human observation, or that have been poorly documented, silently cease to exist. In this context, the Barcelona Museum of Natural Sciences presents a unique and provocative exhibition: Invisible Animals: Myth, Life, Extinction, De-extinction, which opens its doors to the public this Saturday, May 17, 2025, and can be visited until the same day in 2026.

This is the goal that the women's club Juno House in Barcelona has set itself to promote and foster talent through the Beyond Art exhibition cycle, an initiative inaugurated this Tuesday inside the facilities of the former Farinera on Aribau Street. The first artist to inaugurate this new artistic project has been Joana Santamans, the painter who from a town of less than a thousand inhabitants in the Empordà looks to New York to boost her career.
