This year, 2025, the brand will surpass Samsung as the world leader in... smartphones for the first time since 2011. But this success masks a multifaceted crisis: the largest exodus of executives since the death of Steve Jobs, the controversy of liquid glass of iOS 26 and the humiliation of having to pay Google $1 billion annually to use its artificial intelligence.

However, these numbers are tricky, as they only count the main body and ignore the camera bumps that protrude from the back. Add these bumps together, and the Samsung measures 10.0 mm in total (5.8 + 4.2 mm for cameras) and the iPhone 11.3 (5.6 + 5.7 mm), both thicker than many mainstream phones. But who cares about reality when you have a catchy slogan?

Apple seems convinced that it is, and this Tuesday it presented a renewed range of phones headed by the iPhone Air, only 5.6 millimeters thick, which promises to be the object of desire for fans of aesthetics willing to always carry an external battery in their bag.
