Genovese's film, titled Perfect Strangers, It premiered in 2017 in Catalonia And since then it has had 25 adaptations worldwide and has become one of the most successful films ever made. remakes of history. A decade later, director David Selvas has taken that story and brought it to the stage of the Poliorama Theatre with a company comprised of Eduard Farelo, Marta Bayarri, Vanesa Segura, Cristian Valencia, Julia Molins, Albert Prat, and Biel Duran. The show, which shares its title with the film, runs from March 13 to April 26.

Much of her professional career has been based in Madrid, but the actress has long desired to return to work in Catalonia, where she has lived for several years. Now she will do so with Glorious!, a comedy directed by Paco Mir about the story of Florence Foster Jenkins (1868-1944), a woman who, despite not being able to sing, filled theaters in New York. Ribera portrays her alongside Ramon Gener and Santi Millán, in a show that premieres on November 13 at the Teatre Poliorama in Barcelona.

In his works there is always something of himself and, in the case ofThe bonds, from his own history. If to the above, Loop (which was seen at the Flyhard Room last season and will be revived in Texas), touched on the sentimental confrontation between an artist father – a sculptor – and a daughter who had flown out of the nest, in The bonds looks back on his childhood. As a child, Madaula from Sabadell frequented the La Farándula theater in Sabadell to see Folch and Torres' Pastorets, and his sympathies ran more toward the good Satan than the not-so-good Archangel Gabriel. From those memories comes a comedy that is also a sincere tribute to amateur theater and will surely become one of the season's greatest achievements.

Performers with a very long career, their work has brought them together on several occasions, such as in the Catalan version ofA wild god (2010) or in the very popular TV3 series Ventdelplà (2005). This autumn, for the first time, they will go up together and alone on the stage of the Teatre Poliorama to perform The bonds, a comedy written by Madaula—who has been developing his playwriting skills over the last decade—and directed by Paco Mir. The show contrasts two friends, their good and bad behaviors, in a peculiar setting: the performance of the village Pastorets. The bonds It premieres on September 10th and arrives after a successful run in dozens of theaters throughout Catalonia.

He also missed tobacco. These last were the elements in short supply during the Civil War, and especially in Catalonia during his time there, which was very short and intense: between December 26, 1936, and June 23, 1937, the day he had to flee Barcelona on a train or risk being arrested.
