Despite government efforts to encourage weddings with various financial aids, young people are reluctant to say "I do." In 2024, the Asian giant recorded the lowest number of marriages since its statistics (1986). Last year only 6.1 million were registered compared to 7.68 million the previous year, a decrease of 20.5%.</p>]]></description>
