The leader of the band Obeses, he is also the creator of the opera The Lost Cat and of Sardana SuperstarHe, who has described himself as a "unique artistic piece" irreplaceable by the country, sees in wine a point of connection with pleasure, tradition and the land.

The musician and composer was the first to create a musical theater show centered, from beginning to end, around the sardana. "Until now, there have been some experiments incorporating the copla and the tenora, but this is the first dramatic work that uses these elements to convey the entire show," Tordera emphasizes. With this in mind, he conceived Sardana Superstar, which premiered in October at the Fira Mediterrània and is coming to Barcelona's Teatro Condal from July 2 to 6 as part of the Grec Festival.

Maybe you discovered it in a Marathon from TV3 singing Show must go on; in it FAQS, interpreting The Reapers at the top of Sant Jeroni, with just an electric guitar; or in one of his sections with Jordi Basté on RAC1. He has a degree in philosophy and has studied at the ESMUC (Spanish Academy of Music), the Taller de Músics (Music Workshop), and the Conservatori de Vic (Vic Conservatory). He has the talent, the discourse, and the aesthetics to go against the grain. His manner sometimes reminds me of Albert Serra's.

More than a hundred singers from the Cor Canta, the musicians from the Original Soundtrack Orchestra (OSTO) and the five solo singers were exultant receiving the ovation of the public, which almost filled L'Auditori, the third stop of a tour that has passed through Vic and Tarragona and that will close on March 2 in Man. It was the encore, and it sounded We are from Raval, the neighborhood anthem, one of the most exciting moments of the work.

Until several singers from the Cor Canta who had participated in the opera wanted to continue it. "We contacted Arnau and told him: 'We want to take the work out of the drawer.' And he prepared a suite for us," recalls Sigfrid Quer, president of the Cor Canta, at an event held this Thursday in the Martí el Humano hall of the MUHBA, which served precisely to present the four concerts in which it is performed. The lost cat.
