The Association of Information Media (AMI), a nationwide organization, has launched a public awareness campaign highlighting the importance of rigorous information and professional journalism as essential pillars of democracy and, therefore, of individual and collective freedom. Under the slogan "Your power is to be informed," the advertisements will urge citizens to protect their right to information. The campaign, which will be rolled out across various media, aims to reinforce a key idea: that information is not a luxury or just another accessory in the current digital consumption landscape, but rather the raw material for defending a fundamental right recognized in advanced democracies. It also reminds us that "where information is degraded, manipulated, or diluted by noise, citizens' ability to make free and informed decisions is weakened." That is why the AMI – of which ARA is a member – asserts that a freer, more critical, and more resilient society, one more resistant to manipulation, is a society where quality journalism abounds. According to the organization, the campaign stems from a concern arising from an observation: "An overabundance of messages does not always translate into better information and can even erode the very right to be informed if the quality, independence, and credibility of sources are not protected." Therefore, the messages highlight a fundamental issue: "Not all information is journalism, nor does all informative content guarantee the right to information." The AMI reminds us that professional journalism is defined by its methodology, its ethical code, and its commitment to public service. It involves verifying facts, cross-checking sources, contextualizing events, and assuming responsibility – work "that does not arise spontaneously or without compensation."

The head of the Government has summoned this campaigning organisation, alongside Òmnium Cultural and Association of Municipalities for Independence (AMI), to rebuild bridges, but the impression is that it will not be easy to find common ground. The ANC went to the meeting with a proposal under its arm: "making independence effective" in the second half of 2023, an idea that has been automatically dismissed by Aragonès. "The conditions do not exist to move forward with such a proposal, and everybody knows this," said Presidency minister Laura Vilagrà.
