The Catalan Tax Agency (ATC) has published the final list for the 2024 fiscal year of all vehicles subject to the CO₂ emissions tax. Starting September 1, owners of one or more vehicles can check their details and the tax they must pay on the Agency's website, via My ATC space, with digital identification (IdCAT Mobile or other digital certificate). To check a single vehicle, basic access is available with a tax identification number and registration number, without the need for digital identification.

Since May 1, owners of one or more vehicles can consult the provisional list of vehicles (the register) subject to the tax on carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions for the 2024 fiscal year. The information is available through the portal My ATC space, at the electronic headquarters of the Catalan Tax Agency (ATC), using a digital ID (IdCAT Mobile or another digital certificate). To check a single vehicle, basic access is maintained using the owner's NIF (Tax Identification Number) and registration number. If any data changes are necessary, objections can be submitted until June 5th.

The age of the car fleet circulating on our roads continues to grow and now stands at an average of 14.5 years, a figure 0.3 years higher than the 14.2 years recorded in 2023. This figure is even higher if we analyse the rest of the vehicles. We find that industrial vehicles are the oldest in the fleet with an average of 15.1 years, but not far behind commercial vehicles, with 14.7 years. As for buses, they are the youngest with an average of 11.5 years.

Barcelona City Council has passed a decree to prohibit the circulation of rickshaw taxis in the areas of Sagrada Familia, the area around Passeig de Gràcia, Paral·lel Avenue, Park Güell and Camp Nou during the busiest tourist months. It should be remembered that there is already a restriction in force for these vehicles and the use of personal mobility vehicles –especially electric scooters – for commercial use in the districts of Ciutat Vella and Sant Martí during the summer. The aim is to prevent them from taking up public space and hindering residents' day-to-day life. The decree will come into force once it is definitively approved.
