The Catalan broadcaster joins the Atresmedia group and will be part of the channel with a television project set to premiere in 2026. Giró arrives with a solid profile thanks to his career, which combines intelligent humor, social analysis, entertainment, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. His new network has not revealed the premiere date or the format of his new show, although it has been suggested that it will continue to be based on a combination of interviews with celebrities and humor.

For inexplicable reasons, this man's presence on camera boosts ratings. His ability to stimulate the audience figures is baffling, yet programs bring him on as a guest when their ratings are low. Revilla, a demagogue intoxicated with himself, inserts himself wherever it suits him. His enthusiasm makes it seem as if he says a lot, but he contributes little. They ask him questions feigning interest in his opinions while he elaborates on a series of theories explained with such certainty that it breeds distrust. He is populism personified.

In the Newscast La 1's broadcasters picked up on the president's willingness to refuse to throw in the towel and summarized his anti-corruption plan. They emphasized the government's satisfaction with the appearance, which reinforced a certain notion of a turning point to which the Socialists aspired. In fact, the report on the session in Congress frequently cited government and party sources, even in their metaphors. The journalist summarized: "The image established within the ranks of the PSOE has been very eloquent, they say, that the PP has sold the bear's skin before hunting it, but that the move has gone wrong for them because the bear is more alive than ever.". Allegories that brought an excessively enthusiastic vigor to reality. "The legislature seems to be holding up for the moment." and "Full house passed, government sources saywas the final conclusion of the news.

The Pujols and the perverse game of La Sexta

https://en.ara.cat/media/the-pujols-and-the-perverse-game-of-sexta_129_5430957.html

Any current affairs program on La Sexta, be it the news, the García Ferreras discussions, theAim Ana Pastor's afternoon magazine show, or any of its reporting formats, has two characteristics in common: the use of sarcasm or irony in the tone and an informative superiority, a sort of narrative sufficiency, which exudes arrogance. It is a journalistic supremacy that exudes arrogance. They exude a haughtiness and superficiality that allows itself the right to judge and supervise from the altar of the network. An example is the game in the style ofThe anthill that were proposed to the audience on the Monday night news following the imprisonment of Santos Cerdán. Ass or elbow? By Pablo Motos. Presenter Roberto Blázquez, in front of a photo montage of eight different politicians, posed this riddle to the viewers: "We now propose a challenge: Street or jail? Look at these faces, all familiar, all corrupt. Or suspected corrupt. Today, July 1, 2025, do you know who is incarcerated and who is sleeping at home?". He broke down the game. They projected an image of PP politicians Ignacio González and Francisco Granados. Under their names, they wrote the years of prison they had received, and the presenter asked the audience: "Street or prisoner? And after some explanations about their cases, he announced that both were on the streets (after serving time in prison). The list continued. It was Eduardo Zaplana's turn.Street or prisoner?", he repeated with the enthusiasm of a contest.Street", He resolved. And he recalled the time he spent in prison and the health reasons that allowed him to leave.. "Street or prisoner?", the presenter reiterated. "Street", confirmed. Of all of them, they showed images of when they entered or left prison. Blázquez continued: "Former presidents of the Andalusian Regional Government, Manuel Chaves and José Antonio Griñán". And the same litany: "Street or prisoner? And he referred to the ERE case and how, finally, the Constitutional Court had annulled their conviction and, officially, there was no evidence of corruption in their file.. "Street", He concluded with a matter-of-fact expression. Finally, it was Jordi Pujol's turn, who has not yet been tried or convicted, but was added to the pile of fat. Under Jordi Pujol's photo, he was given an eight-month prison sentence. Blázquez gave a broad overview of the entire family: "Street or prison? Everyone on the street!", he said. And then he gave an erroneous account about the Pujol sons who had spent time in prison, confusing Jordi Júnior with Oriol. But everything stays in the family, and he appealed to the future trial to find out the final solution to his game. Street or prisoner? Don't let reality spoil your entertainment while watching the news. Because this is the worst part: it's not a show that's entertaining and compelling, but a news program that, by the looks of it, with so much game-play and ideology, ends up misinforming.

Networks such as Cuatro and La Sexta have used the concept "the Catalan Pelicote" to refer to the accused. We saw him on Thursday in On everyone's lips, when the program asked for the details of "the Catalan Pelicot prostitution network". The same thing happened in News Four, where they spoke of the fact as "the Pelicot case of Barcelona". In Better late than never They repeated the appeal. They weren't the only ones. Radio stations like SER and all kinds of digital media have also done so. Even the RTVE website, surprisingly, uses this concept.

"We have never given false information knowing it was false, neither information about accounts in the Grenadines nor any other. Neither about Podemos nor about anyone else," said the journalist at the beginning of the broadcast of Al rojo vivo, the programme he directs and presents on La Sexta, a channel of which he is also a director. This weekend Crónica Libre published some recordings made by Villarejo in which a conversation between the former superintendent and Ferreras can be heard. In the recordings, the journalist doubts the veracity of the information about Pablo Iglesias's alleged bank accounts in the Grenadines, a tax haven, which was given to him by Eduardo Inda, a journalist from OK Diario. "I told him: 'Eduardo, this is very serious. I'll go with it, but it's very delicate and too crude," Ferreras says in the recording.
