The improvement included, among other things, an increase of around 3,000 euros per year. Not bad, but three unions (USTEC, Intersindical, and CGT) were not entirely convinced and organized a consultation.95% of voters rejected the agreement. It should be noted that 40,000 teachers participated, more than half of the total. The strikes that began this week and end on Friday with a demonstration in Barcelona therefore have very broad support among professionals.

It doesn't take much to ignite it: three headlines, two talk shows, and a couple of tweets, and suddenly half the country is judging the other half from the comfort of their sofas, with pre-packaged opinions. Curiously, in this race to point fingers, schools are always mentioned. As if the social fracture were the fault of a poorly corrected dictation or a badly presented media project.

However, most positions will continue to be filled based on the order in which teachers appear on the waiting list.

We have such a wide range that we're endless, and at the same time, it's often the way our students communicate," explains Pilar Garcia, director of the Can Vila municipal special education school in Mollet del Vallès. The school, which is located between three and twenty years old, bases its educational project on art, and does so especially through theater. The students who join the Can Vila community have previously attended mainstream school and arrive here after experiencing situations of failure. "What we don't want is for this to happen again when they enter our school. Their autonomy, self-esteem, security, the ability to feel responsible, and the bond they establish with adults, among other things, are important to them, but for us, it's not a priority. Our priority is precisely to value and emphasize the things they must do to improve their quality of life and emotional well-being. Based on this, we will enhance all the abilities our students possess."

It did so on the same day as ERC announced the global agreement with Salvador Illa's administration. And the Commons explained that they were continuing to negotiate this third package. Well, on the eve of the Parliament's approval of this third credit supplement—it will do so in next week's plenary session—the Government and the Commons have reached an initial agreement: 22.7 million for inclusive schools next year, 6.9 million of which would be made effective this year. According to ARA, this translates into 352 educational support personnel (PAE) allocations to serve students with special educational needs.

This week the Health Department has informed Alba Jardiel, Aleix's mother, that next year he will not be allowed to continue attending his current school because they cannot guarantee his safety. "On Tuesday I was summoned to a meeting with a Health Department representative, a doctor from Sant Joan de Déu hospital and a representative of the Barcelona Education consortium, and they told me that next year there will no longer be the two nurses that accompanied Aleix in the classroom and who took shifts to look after him when needed," she explains.
