The Department of Education published the amendment to the decree that governs how subjects are organized in high school on Monday. This confirms the changes that have been explained for over a year and which have been opposed by various teachers' groups. The curriculum changes will be implemented starting next year, 2026-2027, due to a request from the Spanish government urging the Generalitat to have their qualifications recognized in case of geographical mobility.

These are the only resignations, but not the only cases. In particular, the PP, faithful to the poor aim with which it conducts its campaign against corruption and tricks in public life, is, as always, the party that accumulates by far the most cases of leaders who have tried to falsify their academic records (Pablo Casado's brilliant university career is worthy of mention).

Although the state leadership is refusing to confirm a direct order from him or from the party leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, CV reviews have been taking place in Congress, as has been reported. The World And the ARA has confirmed it. But not only that, this order has been passed on to the autonomous regions, meaning that Catalonia will also be affected by this extreme rigor being imposed. This harsh strategy hasn't entirely convinced several voices because it could backfire at any moment: "A grain too much," comments one source, while another maintains that this extreme reaction could produce very uncertain results.

She lived up to her role as deputy secretary of mobilization and digital challenge and chose Mediaset as the platform to sell her version of events. She appeared on two Cuatro programs. She went to Everything is a lie –a very apt title in her case–, in which she had previously contributed. They interviewed her for almost an hour, and her constant ambiguity when talking about her studies was evident. She was vague again when referring to the credits she needed to complete her law degree, and they caught her in another lie: they brought back an interview in which she claimed she only had her final degree project left. She was also interviewed in On everyone's lips by Nacho Abad, the most unscrupulous news anchor on television. The man treated her very affectionately and indulgently accepted her arguments. His motto: "Live without regret."

The phrase uttered by Begoña Roman, a doctor of philosophy and professor at the University of Barcelona (UB), is a good example of why, on a Monday afternoon, nearly 100 people gathered at the Ateneu Barcelonès with a clear objective: to restore the prestige of philosophy in Catalan education. "It's no longer a professional issue but a national issue. The problem is that we live in a short-termist way. We don't plan for the future, but only for today," criticized philosophy professor Ramon Moix.

After listening to the proposals by the educational community, the Department has finally presented the final proposal and, among the most important new features, the new bottom grade will no longer be renamed "in process of achievement", as had been proposed in the draft, but will remain "not achieved". In addition, "autonomous management", where schools can freely decide what subjects to teach, have been cut from 6 to 4.

This would seem perfectly normal were it not for the fact that this is precisely the information schools have been requesting for over a month in order to make contributions and also advise students, especially those in their last year of compulsory education, on what future path to follow. Indignation among teachers was evident on social media. They consider that, once again, the Department will apply changes without consulting them. Precisely, the Department of Education's ways are one of the reasons that pushed many teachers to take part of the five-day strike.
