The Generalitat has published the 2027 labor calendar, marked by Christmas and May 1st falling on a Saturday, as the Catalan executive reported this Wednesday in a statement. In total there will be 12 holidays in addition to Sundays.

September arrives, routine returns, and, still with the taste of the holidays, it's inevitable to look at the calendar to see if we'll be able to enjoy a long weekend before the Christmas holidays arrive. But the final stretch of 2025 doesn't look particularly good for people looking forward to holidays:

The working calendar for next year in Catalonia leaves 2026 with few long holidays. The Department of Business and Labor approved the calendar of working holidays for next year throughout the country last March, and this Tuesday the Spanish government officially published it in the Official State Gazette (BOE) along with all the holidays of each of the autonomous communities.

The Official State Bulletin (BOE) has published this Thursday the bank holidays in Spain in 2022, prepared by the Ministry of Labour. There will be 12 holidays on working days (Monday to Saturday), of which seven are state holidays that cannot be replaced. These are New Year's Day (January 1), Good Friday (April 15), the Assumption of Mary (August 15), Spain Day (October 12), All Saints' Day (November 1), Constitution Day (December 6) and the Immaculate Conception (December 8). To these seven we must add Three Kings' Day (6 January), which, although it may be replaced by regional governments, in practice is kept throughout the state.
