The book, written by historian Isabel Martínez (Cambrils, 1973), traces the evolution of Vermuts Miró from its founding in 1914 to its acquisition by MaserGrup in 2020, placing the brand's trajectory within the broader history of wine production. The book will be presented on April 7th at Casa Navàs.

So I head to Reus on a wonderful day, even the train that takes me there arrives on time. Pola greets me before service and enthusiastically introduces me to the entire team as they arrive at the restaurant. He came to Catalonia when he was 13. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1993. His family traveled a lot because of his parents' textile factory. It wasn't until he landed in Cervera that he put down roots. He liked science and philosophy. In the end, he decided to study psychology. Rovira i Virgili University took him to the Camp de Tarragona region, where he's stayed ever since. He sent out resumes everywhere to pay for his studies. And it was at the Hotel Mònica in Cambrils where he found a job. At that time, chef David Giner took a young man who didn't even know how to fry an egg and instilled in him a passion for the profession. He worked full days while also studying for his degree. When he finally graduated six years later, cooking won out. And he opened El Alkimista, where we are today.

The projectile caused damage to the upper part of the building and toppled the turret that crowned one of Reus's most emblematic buildings, a Modernist jewel built at the beginning of the 20th century by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Fortunately, the main floor was not affected, and during the 1940s the upper part of the building was rebuilt, but not the turret. More than eighty years later, the current owner of Casa Navàs, Maser Grup, has decided to reconstruct this distinctive feature. Work on the building began last July, but much preparation was required before the first scaffolding was erected.

These markets, some distorted, like some in Cap-Casualty, and others more famous and popular, like the Sunday markets in certain parts of the world, are portraits, snapshots, and samples of their surroundings. In the stalls, in the order—or disorder—of the products, in the voices that resonate, and in the mingling aromas, one can discern a way of life, of producing, and of relating to food.

"Having one hub international airport 100 kilometers away will be a focus of attention for our airport," he said. Crespo highlighted the good moment that Reus airport is enjoying, but pointed out that it has the capacity to double the operations it currently handles.

It is a promise he has heard for twelve years. The two administrations have committed to completing these railway connections in the framework of the negotiation to expand El Prat airport near Barcelona. For Jordi Just, this deal means that in five years the works on an AVE station at the airport would start. "We have learnt our lesson with this issue and we will watch very closely that deadlines are really met", he warns. The announcement of the high-speed train station for Reus, which has been talked about since 2009, has been received with both joy and scepticism. "We have heard excuses about the economy and the crisis for years, while there are areas of 1,400 inhabitants where high-speed rail stations have been built. Why does a region of 480,000 people have less weight?" Just asks.
