We disappear, we become invisible just because we have stopped being fertile. Reproduction or death, tied to the imposition of the duty to be pleasing to the eyes of men. We don't feel that way, of course, it's how they continue to represent us in high-impact media: series, films, advertising. The idealization of youth (to which many of us wouldn't return even if crazy), the creation of needs derived from the desire to preserve it at all costs, and the lack of women's voices telling us the real and honest experience of what it means to grow old create a terribly cruel imaginary for those of us who are still alive past forty, fifty, sixty. Smear yourself with creams, exercise, starve, mutilate yourself.

An excess of catwalks and an excess of discomfort. Not only the discomfort generated by some of the award winners' speeches, but also by the outfits women choose, which continue to present images unheard of in the 21st century. But if we're being strict, in the 21st century, the world is also governed by ultra-violent narcissists who are leaving a landscape that hasn't changed in centuries. And since little more can be said about the brutality of a system that allows the bombing of whatever a few wretches fancy, and since we seem to have to accept violence as a necessary evil in this rotten world of self-interest, let's turn the tables and look at what is apparently permanent, and what many people consider a free choice. And they're right. Because women's formal attire is the perfect symbol to explain where we still are. And the damage it does isn't comparable to war, but it still leaves many dead. It's the imprisonment of the body. Of the standards of beauty. Of scandal disguised as glamour.

She is the model and influencer Kylie Jenner, one of many who have triumphed on social media by showcasing such a high level of beauty and perfection, has only strengthened the system from which so many women try to escape. A patriarchal beauty standard that is becoming increasingly strict, but which disguises itself as female empowerment.

Among the most requested gifts this year are trips and unique presents that allow for self-care and a moment of relaxation amidst the chaotic stress of daily life. This is precisely what a well-known brand, Sibari Republic, offers. The local company opens the door to finding unique gifts for all tastes that can't be found in large department stores.

The lower temperatures of this approaching season also mean changes in our beauty routines, as our skin, in accordance with the climate, also requires different care. This affects the skin on our face, but also the skin on our body and hair. To prevent winter from taking its toll, these cosmetics can be a great help:

The reasons for this increase are related to the expiration of implants and fashion. If they are not removed after 10 or 15 years, they can cause serious health problems, and what was once fashionable is no longer fashionable. The feminine image has changed, shifting from "voluptuous breasts to naturalness," according to Jaume Masià, director of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service at Sant Pau Hospital. Many of the women who had them implanted twenty years ago have found they need to be replaced, and now, at 45, they don't like the idea of undergoing surgery again in their 60s or 65s to undergo another change. I'm talking about purely aesthetics, not the breast reconstructions performed for breast cancer. Obviously, these have nothing to do with fashion. And I talk about how fashion forces us to modify our bodies.

As of this Thursday, in the Nordic country, an influencer will have to declare if their figure or features have been edited and if they have used a filter through a government-approved label. The law passed by the Norwegian Ministry of Children and Equality on Thursday also establishes the tag system for conventional advertisements. The rule applies to photographs in which body measurements have been edited, for example height or leg length, shape, such as making the lips thicker or the waist more pronounced, or skin colour. Also those in which a filter has been used. Failure to tag will carry penalties ranging from fines to possible imprisonment.
