However, these talks in secondary schools are always interesting, especially because you realize they're surprised that writers are normal people. And part of the job is this: to get teenagers to stop seeing us as a kind of repressed, old-fashioned bookworm who doesn't write about life but about empty intellectual abstractions. This talk was also interesting, especially when the topic of sex came up.

Sometimes they do this by wanting to rearrange furniture. These changes are related to the process of identity construction. The gesture of closing the door signals that the young person begins to seek privacy, to explore and find their innermost being. "It's the beginning of the process of more active identity construction. It usually happens between the ages of 12 and 15, although some young people never need to do it," says Sara Desirée Ruiz, a social educator and psychotherapist specializing in adolescence. What she suggests to families is to observe, and when adolescents begin to close the door, the family should knock before entering.

Six years later, and while working on her first feature film, Moray premieres a new short film at the Locarno Film Festival, Plankton, which tells the story of the reunion of two university friends in Cap de Creus. Repressed emotions, the liberating energy of sex, and the sensual dimension of nature are still present in Moray's films, which this time add a magical and poetic element to his images.

The leisure offer focused on sexual experimentation is gaining visibility in different spaces in Catalan cities. "First, we talked about liberal sex, and now we talk about sex positive [or pro-sex], which refers to openness to experimenting with sexuality and is more open in terms of sexual orientation and the diversity of practices," explains Marina Vivó, psychologist and sexologist. "Openness does not mean the obligation to have sex," she clarifies. In fact, consent and respect are. This is where discretion and confidentiality predominate, which at the same time makes them quite hermetic - also because social media policies censor their promotion.

What is happening? The generation gap in this case would imply a step backwards. In this field, the advances in awareness-raising, surely too slow but apparently sustained, have marked the last decades. In this time, female empowerment in the face of sexist behaviours which were once fully accepted has made its way into people's minds and into public opinion. In fact, in a short time there has been an acceleration in demands, especially since the global MeToo movement. But, apparently, there is another side to it: this discourse of women's liberation and of cornering both explicit and more subliminal sexism seems to be receding among young people. In Spain as a whole, one young man in five denies the existence of gender violence, and one in three believes, for example, that it is "inevitable or acceptable" to control their partner's schedule, prevent them from contacting family or friends or tell them what they can and cannot do. Surveys have no absolute value, but they do indicate trends. In this case, a rather worrying trend, since we are not talking about a certain relativism, but about denying the root cause. In other words, we would be facing a clear involution, a kind of counter-reform in the mentality of the young.
