A theatrical adaptation is already in preparation. And this September, she will publish the children's book. The Adventures of Capybara and His Friends.

Without sleep, however, he would not have written anything resembling a masterpiece such as Pale Fire, because his brain would not have been capable of it. Sleep is essential for the proper functioning of the brain. At the same time, the brain regulates when we fall asleep and when we wake up by means of a hormone called hypocretin. Lluís de Lecea, professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences at Stanford University, is one of the scientists who discovered it.

The response to external stimuli is minimal, at least the mild ones, however, despite the state of relative unconsciousness, the level of brain activity remains high. In fact, this is the main difference between sleep and other states of unconsciousness, such as coma. All vertebrates sleep and at least some insects, such as flies and ants, are known to sleep, indicating that sleep is of transcendental importance for the life of animals. However, not all animals sleep in the same way.
