An explosion at a jewelry store in Cerdanyola del Vallès has left four people injured, two of whom are in serious condition. The blast took place this Tuesday afternoon on the ground floor of a building on Sant Antoni street in Cerdanyola del Vallès, causing the collapse of the floor of one of the rooms in the apartment above. Firefighters have evacuated the building where the jewelry store is located and the two adjacent buildings, and they suspect the cause may be a gas explosion, although they clarify that the investigation remains open. Finally, at 9:30 p.m., it was ruled out that there were more people affected under the rubble, and the evacuated neighbors were allowed to return as a precaution, with the exception of those in two apartments damaged by the blast.

An explosion at the practical laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Rovira i Virgili University, in Tarragona, has left at least three people injured. According to the Generalitat Fire Department, who received the notice at 9:17 a.m. this Monday morning, the explosion occurred while chemical products were being handled. Seven crews are working on the incident at the Faculty, located on Marcel·lí Domingo street. The three workers, who were able to notify 112, have been transferred to the Joan XXIII Hospital and the Santa Tecla Hospital. At least 17 people were injured as a result of a strong gas explosion in a residential building in the Asturian town of Mieres, which collapsed, according to the Emergency Service of the Principality (SEPA). Three of the injured suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Oviedo, while firefighters and a canine unit are searching through the rubble to see if there are more people trapped.
