The outages and incidents on commuter rail, the government's position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the latest controversies with 3Cat—from the name change of the corporation's channels to the new one—are all related. Sunday's program Bestial—focused their questions on the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, who had a taste of the parliamentary exam he will have to face next week, with the general policy debate. At the proposal of the PSC, Esquerra, Comuns and the CUP, the plenary session began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the genocide in Gaza, from which Vox and Aliança Catalana were absent. The PP and Aliança Catalana protested the text, while Junts justified its support for the proposal, although it did not sign it, because, in its opinion, it did not include a condemnation of the attacks of October 7, 2023, committed by Hamas.

We're back at it again. I love choosing a new planner and starting the school year with the excitement of doing everything right. It's like when I was little, I'd open a new notebook, write a pretty title, and write the first two pages in beautiful handwriting. September is like that; it's the month of good intentions, blank pages, and long days that still smell of summer. Even our children are thinking, "This year I'll definitely do everything right and get great grades." We'll talk again in June.

https://en.ara.cat/opinion/and-you-where-have-you-gone-vacation_129_5482744.html

The resumption of work and school activities is approaching. Sant's Day, we're back! With the joy of reunion, many conversations begin with the question: "And you, where did you go on vacation?" This is a dreaded question for those who haven't left home. A bit lazy, they are forced to say: nowhere. Vacation is a time of leisure and rest, but it is also, above all, a place, a different geographical space, where you can go for a change of scenery and forget the work routine (or the work that causes suffering). Some people take advantage of it to see the world (Bali, Burma), others go on an excursion through Ripollès, and others go to the beach for a few days with a gang of friends. Everyone goes out, of course, but this going out, what human direction does it take? They can be strangers, visitors, and—worst of all—tourists. Tourists are predators, exploiters of places. The outsider looks at it from the outside (hence the word); he doesn't seek to understand what he sees or delve deeper: he merely passes by for a while. The visitor, on the other hand, sometimes tries to empathize, but only for a few hours. In all three cases, the place isn't experienced from within. Going, one goes on vacation, but one rarely experiences it in the sense of being, because it would mean wanting to stay, it would mean a certain immobility and also a certain availability. A place is something transitory, temporary. It's the opposite of territory. Territory comes from the earth. Roots are put down in the earth. Exploring a territory is much more than taking a tour, like these tourists happily perched on the tour bus with their sunglasses on their noses. What kind of city can you explore from the second floor of a tour bus? Well, you can explore a place, but territory is something very different. Now that people are going back home, that's their territory, because it's where, for better or worse, they've sunk their roots. Sometimes we don't like the place we come from, or the place where we've made a life, because it jars us a bit. But it's our territory. A territory can also be mental or spiritual: it's the symbolic space we remember, we once inhabited inside, and it inhabits us inside.

The "private vacation" thing has always seemed extraordinary to me, because it means they're taking it "publicly," that it's just a show. Pretending to "take a vacation," sailing in a boat, dressing in local white, going to dinner somewhere neither expensive nor cheap, seems, in itself, wonderful. But on top of that, they're taking other vacations, which are "private." And the important reason why Felipe has interrupted his private vacations is the fires. It seems that the monarch "has been in contact" with some regional presidents "to find out the degree of damage caused by the various fires that are terribly ravaging" his kingdom. It seems like a gesture of monarchical responsibility, but that's not the only way I see it.

When traveling by car with a dog, they must first get used to the vehicle. It's not advisable to take a long trip if the animal is unfamiliar with the car or van. This requires learning: starting with short trips with a pleasant experience (using toys or treats, for example). These can be gradually lengthened. However, the response will vary greatly depending on each dog's personality. If there is an initial negative reaction, Fatjó recommends contacting the veterinarian, who can provide medication to prevent motion sickness or dietary supplements to help them cope better with stressful situations.

To talk, you don't need to visit an agency, make a phone call, or observe any time restrictions: any device with an internet connection is sufficient to reach her. Layla presents herself with the self-confidence characteristic of job interviews: "Talking to me takes the stress out of planning trips," "talking to me is like having your own travel guru without the high price." But Layla isn't just any worker: she's an artificial intelligence (AI).

They could be sets for swords-and-dragons movies or fairy tales that begin with a softly spoken "once upon a time." But they aren't decorated: they are living, beautiful, and imperfect towns that give us a window into the Middle Ages. Some have names that are difficult to pronounce, like Sighişoara, and others that sound like verses, like Monsaraz or San Gimignano. All have a beauty that isn't just picture-postcard: it's authentic. In Europe, there are a handful that seem frozen in the Middle Ages—with walls, towers, and squares that have seen centuries pass by—and that are worth visiting at least once in your life. Some climb to impossible cliffs, like Rocamadour, and others are bathed in Nordic silence, like Visby. In this article, we hop from country to country to discover seven medieval towns that not only delight the eye, but also stir something within us. Perhaps because they remind us of where we come from. Or perhaps because they invite us to pause a moment and appreciate, for example, how the towers remain intact in San Gimignano or how the cobblestone streets are cradled by the Baltic Sea in Visby. Ready for an inspiring trip through the Old Continent?

Try it if you've never done it before. Seriously. Do it even if you think your breasts are saggy, small, flat, fat, ugly. The day you do it, you'll see that once you've taken off your bikini top, oh, what a coincidence, many women follow you. You'll feel like a union leader, but a good one, not one of those union leaders who don't see the point of striking on March 8th... Besides, in many public pools, it was prohibited to do so. topless until recently and it's quite funny to see the scared faces of so many users when you do.

https://en.ara.cat/opinion/to-each-his-own-paradise_129_5454096.html

We have to see a lot of people before we leave and finish a lot of things, as if we were going far away and for a long time, as if we'd never see anyone again and everything was about to end. We have to pack sensibly, so we can say, "We don't need so many things to live; we could actually live with what fits in our suitcase." Then we come back with our suitcases even fuller of things we don't need but that we like to have. We feel overwhelmed by the pressure of not forgetting anything, neither here nor there. Because we already lose enough. And as if the weight of the suitcase weren't enough, we add the burden of expectations. We have to have a good time and we have to like it, because we've been looking forward to this trip, these days, these vacations for a long time. But even organized trips have their risks. Because if the plan was for the vacation days to go as we had planned, then the non-vacation days should be like that too. Life can be planned to a certain extent. Insurance ads remind you of this every now and then. If you're going to do it, they might also remind you of the name of that person you meet on the street who wouldn't even come to mind. There are people who justify not going far by saying, "No, I don't go anywhere, I'm just here next door to read, see friends, and unwind a bit." They say this with an embarrassed tone, as if that goal were worth much less than trips to exotic, faraway places, like those acquaintances who do so and tell you that the hotel has practically charged them because they find so many deals that instead of spending money on vacation, they make money. There are people who, if they don't have luck, make it up. They're enviable. But having time and the opportunity to do what you want—to read, to have dinner with friends, to walk, to swim, to lie down, or to play—is a luxury and a journey. Especially since there are millions of people who can't even consider it. Plus, you avoid the cumbersome airport protocol, which is one of the most humiliating situations you can experience as a consumer, where the monopoly does with you what it wants and how it wants. For safety, they say. For their own, of course. But everyone who can choose has the right to choose what they want. Let's talk about vacations. Choosing hate as a way of life shouldn't be allowed. Much less as a form of government. But let's return to this time when we supposedly take a long break and swap the routines of the year for summer routines and forget about governments and the corrupt and the patriots with checking accounts in tax havens and tax havens. Our paradise is good memories, those of us lucky enough to have them and remember them.

The days are getting longer, and everyone is eager to make plans and think about what to do during their vacations. The desire for a getaway is stronger than ever. But which destination should you choose? Paris, Rome, London, New York... The great classics still preserve authentic corners, but they are also synonymous with overcrowding, lines, and tons of people everywhere. If you want ideas for traveling without rushing, without feeling like just another piece of clothing in a tourist-filled landscape, you're reading the right article. Forget the crowded streets and the same-old postcards and give yourself the opportunity to discover places where you can still sense the essence, see surprising landscapes, hear unadulterated history, taste good food, and feel the excitement of exploring an authentic place. Are you up for it? It's time to look beyond the radar and experience a different summer.
