A population boom was assured. Hundreds of farmers and merchants took advantage of this favorable economic climate, as did the most far-sighted entrepreneurs.

They try to justify this with the argument that there are fewer tourists this year, something that no one can believe because data from Ibestat and the INE clearly show that the summer of 2025 will follow the same trend as 2024; that is, all tourism records will be shattered. In fact, this year, spending is growing even more than the number of tourists. Specifically, and in Mallorca alone, between January and June, almost six million tourists arrived on the island (3.7% more than last year), spending €6.712 billion, a figure that represents a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year.

The owners claim that, Since it was founded as a horse and carriage depot in 1890, it has had a remarkable ability to adapt to "all kinds of situations and thrive." They have endured all sorts of vicissitudes, from personal accidents, illnesses, deaths, a civil war, fires, and floods. But they have never suffered a crisis as severe as the current one, in which a severe staff shortage is jeopardizing their future like never before.
