ARA is a newspaper that wants to closely follow the productive fabric of the country and, to do so, it strengthens its economic area, made up of the news section and the supplement Companies. With this objective, it has brought in journalist Agustí Sala, who has assumed the role of assistant director.

Under the baroque ornaments of the Ovalhalle in Vienna, ARA has received, for the second time since it was founded, the award for European Newspaper of the Year, in its regional category, following the parameters of the European Newspaper Award organisers. In addition to being distinguished with the most important award, which allows it to carry this title for a year on its masthead, the newspaper has obtained year eight more design awards, in a competition in which 161 newspapers from 24 different countries took part, with over 4,000 proposals. ARA was already named Best European Newspaper of the Year in 2015.

Pablo Iglesias, a leading figure of the Spanish political and media landscape in the past decade, will contribute fortnightly to ARA's opinion pages.
