For those of us dedicated to astronomy, this has been a very special summer. The solar eclipse has put us in the spotlight like never before. Rarely does it happen that the object of our work becomes a social phenomenon of this magnitude. It has been a golden opportunity to explain the movements of the stars in the sky, the cosmic coincidence that makes total solar eclipses possible, the demonstration of general relativity predictions, or what solar prominences are. There was even a sociological experiment conducted on how watching an eclipse affects us.
