Beyond the current situation, the essential thing is to ensure a solid foundation for facing the numerous challenges ahead.

It requires hard work and perseverance, maintaining clear ideas, ambition, and rigor. The financing agreement announced yesterday is a new milestone on this path: an important step toward correcting the chronic underfunding that Catalonia has suffered for decades.

We're in the final stretch, and in this final phase, the success or failure of many transformative projects for our region is at stake. The key is whether we can successfully complete this project or miss out on opportunities that were already within our grasp.

In October 2023, the previous Government created the Strategic Investment Committee of the Generalitat of Catalonia to identify, prioritise and plan the financing of the most strategic investments for the country. Given the budgetary pressures faced by the Generalitat, planning investment policy and its financing is absolutely essential.
