A few days ago Fundació Arrels published its latest report, titled Living on the street in times of pandemic. A survey of people living on the streets in Barcelona. The report serves as an X-ray of who are the people living on the street in Barcelona and in what circumstances they do so. The data is the result of a survey carried out on 26 November 2020 (in the midst of the pandemic's easing of restrictions), and the study concludes that there are 4,800 homeless people in the Catalan capital and that seven out of ten are migrants. Most are men, on average 45 years old. And one in nine have been living on the streets for more than 10 years.
