Gabriel Rufián has retracted the words he uttered a few weeks ago in Madrid, in which he showed himself willing to lead the left-wing front he proposes at the state level: "If my presence can help, I am willing. Of course," he declared, although he made it clear that it must be the progressive parties as a whole that agree on the visible face of the project." From Valencia, this Friday he defended leading this front, but only in Catalonia. In this way, the ERC spokesperson in Congress has taken a further step in the defense of the great progressive alliance in an event with the former regional vice-president and Compromís candidate for the Valencia City Council, Mónica Oltra. In fact, the republican leader has added a new ally to his proposal to the point that Oltra revealed that the pact with Sumar, Podem, Esquerra Unida and Compromís is already a reality in the city of Valencia and "almost" in the Valencian Country.

The striker was arrested and released on bail after the complaint by a 21-year-old girl at the time of the events, who stated that the player and a friend of his, also footballer Pablo Jara, had sexually assaulted two women at the former's home in the town of Bétera on the night of August 31, 2024. As a consequence of the attack, both victims required hospital assistance. The events occurred when the player was on loan to Valencia. This season, the attacker has played on loan at Elche, where he has played 27 matches and scored eight goals, and has been a key player for the team's survival.

Despite this, he maintained a lunch of almost four hours with the journalist Maribel Vilaplana and did not go to the Cecopi until 8:28 PM, three and a half hours after the start of the emergency committee. This is recorded in the messages exchanged in the WhatsApp group of the Valencian government, which Mazón initiated at 8:15 AM and in which the last to send a message is the head of Infrastructures, Vicente Martínez Mus, who does so at 11:53 PM, regarding the road situation.

The announcement coincided with a new meeting between the Generalitat and the unions to try to put an end to an indefinite strike that has entered its third week and on Tuesday had a 16% follow-up. Despite the duration of the protest, the meeting only served to advance in the reduction of bureaucracy.

Especially due to the continuous discrepancies between Iniciativa del Poble Valencià –the former vice-president's party– and the nationalists of Més. Even more so, after the progressive leader's traumatic resignation worsened the relationship between the two partners. The unknown, therefore, was to determine the intensity of the dispute. Almost two months after Oltra announced that she accepted being the electoral figurehead in the city of Valencia, we now know the answer. The start of Compromís' pre-campaign for the 2027 elections, which takes place this weekend, has given it to us, and the fact that the former Equality minister has not yet been officially designated as a candidate, a circumstance that has outraged her circle, who do not hesitate to ask if her partners truly want her fighting for the mayorship.

As striking as it may seem, it will not be the first occasion; in fact, the broadcast of the bullfighting show from the capital of the State began on May 9 and will be repeated this Sunday. What will be, however, is another example of the evolution of a channel that, with the arrival of PP and Vox to the Generalitat, is increasingly opting for content in Spanish, the mix of opinion and information, crime stories, and the dissemination of shows linked to the most conservative Spanish worldview. A trend that gives no reason to believe it will change, but rather the opposite, with the appointment this week of Román Ceballos as the new president of the board of directors of a channel that for many has long resembled the old Canal 9.

The slogan among Valencian teachers seems clear after the success of the first day of the indefinite strike that began this Monday. According to the Generalitat, 50.12% of teachers have supported the strike, a figure that unions raise to 90%. All this in a context with high minimum services imposed by the education department, which in the case of second-year baccalaureate teachers has been 100%. According to the Valencian government, which has obtained the approval of the Superior Court of Justice, it is necessary to ensure that students are evaluated with a view to the selectivity exam that will take place in June.
