      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/0c63f040-9e53-4f0f-bd1b-ebc7ded8ec55_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>On July 4th, as the United States celebrated Independence Day, President Donald Trump signed a new law that will leave 7.8 million people without health coverage. <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/1" rel="nofollow">One Big Beautiful Bill Act</a>The bill, approved by a very narrow margin in Congress (218 votes in favor and 214 against), contains more than a thousand pages and a long list of reforms. Among them, one deserves special attention: restrictions on the public health system, especially as they affect the most vulnerable groups.</p>]]></description>

I spoke about it <a href="https://www.ara.cat/opinio/dones-sistema-salut-judit-vall-castello_129_4460260.html">In this column we analyze cases of good practices</a>, such as the strategy adopted by the UK Department of Health and Social Services to promote women's health. Today's article focuses on a more global perspective to characterize the magnitude of the problem, its causes, economic impact and possible solutions. </p>]]></description>
